The Distinguished Young Woman of Loudon County for 2019 is Rachel Scheffer, from Lenoir City.

Rachel’s achievements include: TMTA Math Comp- 3rd in Geometry, 3rd in Alg II, & 1st in Pre-Calculus • All East & All State Honor Choir • LCHS Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior of the Year • LCHS awards for Conceptual Physics, Chemistry, & Honors Physics • LCHS awards for Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, & AP English 11 • LCHS Pre-Engineering Freshman & Sophomore of the Year • TN High School State Swim Meet Qualifier (2016, 2017, 2018) • East TN National History Day - 3rd place group website • KISL Swim Meet Championship Finalist (2016, 2017, 2018) • Medalist & Record Holder at Smoky Mtn Inv Swim Meet - numerous years
